Spellbound Strings will be coming to CPAC 2019!
Spellbound Strings is a NYC-based string quartet performing classical covers of popular anime theme music. With members hailing from Brooklyn, Tokyo, New England, and the Midwest, they combine their love of Japanese culture, animation, video games, and all things geeky with a passion for playing their instruments. In 2018, Spellbound was inducted into the coveted Music Under New York performing arts program, and they can be seen regularly playing at major New York City transit centers. Other past appearances include the Kotoricon at Rowan College NJ, Kawaii Society at Dylan’s Candy Bar, and Make Music New York at the Bard College Graduate Center in Manhattan.
If you’ve ever wanted to sing karaoke to live instruments, or be carried away by your favorite magical girl themes covered on the sweet sound of violins, come check out this unique group. It’s a classical experience that is anything but serious–except seriously nerdy!
